Celebrate National Poetry Month by creating your own poem

Celebrate National Poetry Month by creating your own poem. We will have materials available to create a 5W poem. The format of a 5W poem comes from the conventions of a news story by asking who, what, where, when, and why. It is especially helpful for students in developing their reading comprehension, summarization skills and insight into a journalist’s ability to highlight and summarize key points of a news story.
